The Beautiful Bowl and the Dog Who Splashes
designer double dog feeding stations
We compare five double dog feeding stations with porcelain, ceramic or stainless-steel bowls and different frames, mounts and care instructions.

There is a small pleasure in giving an everyday ritual a beautiful object. Designer double dog feeding stations can do that: two carefully shaped bowls in a frame you enjoy seeing in the kitchen. WatersEdge looks at the care details that bring the beautiful station into everyday use.
We’ll start by separating the bowls from their supports, then meet five stations and their materials. We’ll compare the care around splashes, check the unresolved sizing questions and look at replacement bowls as well as the beautiful finish.
What this comparison shows: Five stations from MiaCara and Labbvenn reveal distinct choices: Cena’s porcelain version uses a metal frame; Vuku pairs ceramic with oak; Desco bends wood around porcelain; Arco mounts porcelain on the wall; Rico sets stainless steel in aluminum. Their maker care records differ, and Cena’s version-specific measurement chart needs clarification. This is a design comparison, not evidence of health benefits from raised feeding.
Labbvenn warns that Vuku’s oak base needs attention after splashes. If your dog leaves a puddle after every drink, that care instruction matters as much as the wood grain.
First, let’s look at bowls and supports separately
Bowl material, frame, size, replacement options and cleaning each describe a different part of the station.
Dinner begins in the bowl, but the object extends beyond it. There is the food-contact surface, the support around it, the connection between the two and the floor underneath.
These components ask different questions. Can the bowl be removed? How is it washed? What happens when water lands on the base? Is a replacement bowl sold separately? Which size is actually being described? The answers tell you how the station would work in your home, beyond how expensive it looks.
For this guide, we compare five distinct double dog feeding stations, each intended to hold food and water. Their raised forms are documented design features. We have not established that their heights improve digestion, posture or comfort for a particular animal. A beautiful frame does not itself answer a veterinary question about feeding position.
For size, check actual measurements rather than relying on a list of example breeds. Published capacities, heights and the dog’s actual needs matter more than a line of example breeds underneath a size chart. Here, one manufacturer’s dimensions are straightforward and another’s chart contains a material mismatch worth keeping visible.

MiaCara Cena: porcelain suspended in a line
Listed price: U.S. price not verified for this exact model and variant. MiaCara currently restricts direct U.S. shipping to orders above $2,250 in merchandise; a retailer may have different terms.
What we like about it: Cena gives two everyday bowls a beautifully spare outline. The slender metal frame leaves the porcelain in view, and the separately sold bowls make the working parts replaceable. Even the small silicone rings receive attention in the maker’s design.
Highlights about the product
- Support: Powder-coated metal
- Bowl material: Porcelain
- Exact size / capacity: Porcelain chart conflict

Labbvenn Vuku: oak makes its own demands
Listed price: U.S. price not verified for this exact model and variant. Labbvenn lists U.S., Canadian and worldwide shipping; shipping and import costs are separate.
What we like about it: The oak grain gives Vuku the presence of a small piece of furniture. Its ceramic bowls sit within that warmer surround, and Labbvenn explains how the wood and bowls receive their separate care. That attention to the material continues beyond the product photograph.
Highlights about the product
- Support: Oak
- Bowl material: Ceramic
- Exact size / capacity: 36.5 × Ø15 × 8 cm maker notation; capacity unresolved

MiaCara Desco: a curve of wood around porcelain
Listed price: U.S. price not verified for this exact model and variant. MiaCara currently restricts direct U.S. shipping to orders above $2,250 in merchandise; a retailer may have different terms.
What we like about it: Desco’s bent-wood curve is the detail that draws us in. It wraps around two removable porcelain bowls with very little visual fuss; the Small model’s stated 0.4-liter bowls give the graceful outline a useful sense of scale.
Highlights about the product
- Support: Bent plywood
- Bowl material: Porcelain
- Exact size / capacity: 40 × 19 × 10 cm; 2 × 0.4 L

MiaCara’s Arco Gray with porcelain bowls family image illustrates the design; the guide compares Small, whose size is established in the specifications rather than this photograph.
MiaCara Arco: dinner takes to the wall
Listed price: U.S. price not verified for this exact model and variant. MiaCara currently restricts direct U.S. shipping to orders above $2,250 in merchandise; a retailer may have different terms.
What we like about it: There is a pleasing bit of ingenuity in Arco’s sliding wall attachment. MiaCara says the main unit lifts off its wall attachment for cleaning. The porcelain bowls are separately replaceable, too.
Highlights about the product
- Support: Bent plywood with a high-pressure laminate coating
- Bowl material: Porcelain
- Exact size / capacity: 35.2 × 21.7 × 15 cm; 2 × approx. 0.4 L

Labbvenn Rico: aluminum and stainless steel
Listed price: U.S. price not verified for this exact model and variant. Labbvenn lists U.S., Canadian and worldwide shipping; shipping and import costs are separate.
What we like about it: Rico makes a continuous shape from a single aluminum sheet, with stainless-steel bowls doing the everyday work. The interest lies in that economical construction: a folded-looking support, two removable bowls and separately described cleaning for each material.
Highlights about the product
- Support: Aluminum sheet
- Bowl material: Stainless steel
- Exact size / capacity: Unresolved

Why does a dog’s splashing matter to an oak feeding station?
A splash lands on the station as well as in the bowl, which makes the support’s material part of daily care. Labbvenn’s instructions call for attention to moisture on the oak base. A finished wooden surface still needs the care the maker specifies.
Cena’s metal frame and Vuku’s oak base need different care. That does not produce a universal winner. It reveals different material choices with different instructions. Metal still needs protection from scratches and harsh cleaners; oak needs prompt attention to moisture. A station can be excellent as an aesthetic object while being poorly matched to a particular household routine.
Ask whether you can replace a broken bowl without buying the whole station. The answer depends on spare bowls being available and fitting your exact version, rather than the base simply looking durable.
These stations raise the bowls off the floor, but the maker records we reviewed did not supply independent evidence of a health benefit from that position. Their materials and appearance can be compared without making a medical promise.
Are all Cena measurements verified for the porcelain version?
The exact version matters when reading a measurement chart. The inspected chart conflicts with the porcelain identification, so the exact-version dimensions require manufacturer clarification.
How to read the comparison: Unless a study or institutional finding is identified, product descriptions come from the named manufacturers’ records. A listed feature does not establish a health, safety or performance benefit. An unresolved entry means we could not verify the information, not that the product lacks it.

What We Still Want To Know
Cena needs a porcelain-specific measurement chart. Vuku would be easier to compare with clearly labeled bowl capacities, a dishwasher instruction and a spare-bowl record. Across all five, a documented cleaning-and-wear evaluation across repeated meals would deepen the account of how these materials age.
A feeding station should remain an everyday object even when it is beautifully made. Removable bowls, clear cleaning instructions and available spare parts deserve as much attention as the finish. They help you see what daily use will involve.
Questions for the Pack
For owners using one of these exact feeding stations: which bowl-capacity or replacement-part detail was hardest to confirm, and how did the maker’s cleaning instructions fit the routine around spills? Exact model and size records would make those observations useful leads; they do not establish a health benefit from elevated feeding.
