Five Cordless Clippers: What Comes in the Kit?
professional cordless dog grooming clippers
Five detachable-blade clippers show how batteries, charging and kit contents shape the working tool.

There is something satisfying about a thoughtfully equipped grooming kit: the blade, battery and charger each have a job around the dog. Let’s take a closer look at those everyday details in five cordless clippers, keeping the dog’s comfort in view.
We’ll begin with what comes in a cordless kit, visit five named models, and compare their batteries, charging arrangements and controls. Then we’ll look at what motor and runtime figures can tell us, what remains untested, and the details gathered in the comparison table.
Wahl KM Supera, Andis Pulse ZR II 79170, Heiniger Opal, Artero Hit M347 and Aesculap Durati GT434-WS are five professional cordless detachable-blade clippers. The makers list different battery counts, speed controls and charging arrangements. Published runtimes and motor ratings do not establish comparative finish quality, blade temperature or a dog’s comfort.
The clipper is only one part of a cordless kit. Check which batteries, blade and charger come with the exact model you are buying.

First, let’s look inside the cordless kit
The included parts shape what you can do with the tool from the start. Check which batteries, blade and charger are included. A motor rating cannot tell you what else you will need to buy.
For example, if the battery runs out during work, can you swap in a charged spare or must you wait? That question matters alongside the cutting specification.
We compared exact kit records, control arrangements and power design. We did not measure cutting speed, blade temperature, sound or animal response. A professional label does not establish exceptional performance in every coat, and a manufacturer’s comfort claim remains its own claim.
Current and historical kit identities are also kept separate. A model name can persist while an included blade, charger or warranty changes. The version in the record is part of the product being described.

Wahl KM Supera 3025759
Listed price: USD 381.99 for 3025759, two-battery kit. Wahl US
What we like about it: The second battery is a considerate inclusion in a cordless kit. One can charge while the other is in use, so you do not have to buy a spare separately.
Highlights about the product
- Speed settings: Two
- Included battery count: Two
- Named included blade: #10 Prime Series

What comes with KM Supera?
For Wahl, the launch announcement helps identify the original kit. Wahl’s February 10, 2025 announcement describes two interchangeable batteries, a battery display, a brushless motor, two speeds and a #10 Prime Series blade. It also describes a blade hinge intended to simplify changes; that is a company claim, not a measured improvement.
The launch price was $399.99. The selected U.S. SKU 3025759 page showed a $381.99 special offer on October 6, 2026 and a three-year warranty, whose full terms need a separate check. Wahl’s stated three-hour runtime for each battery does not guarantee six hours under every workload.

Andis Pulse ZR II 79170: five speeds in a current named kit
Listed price: USD 369.99 for 79170, current kit. Andis
What we like about it: The spare blade drive caught our attention. Alongside the charging stand and hard case, it shows Andis has thought about the pieces that accompany a working clipper beyond the handpiece itself.
Highlights about the product
- Speed settings: Five
- Included battery count: Second battery not listed; replacements separate
- Named included blade: #10 CeramicEdge

Heiniger Opal: charging has its own timetable
Listed price: U.S. price not verified for this exact model and variant. The linked offer is for the UK market; U.S. purchase availability has not been verified. The cited electrical kit is a regional version; U.S. plug and voltage compatibility have not been established.
What we like about it: Opal has a battery indicator and a stated charging time. Both help a groomer plan between uses, though the exact contents of the selected UK kit still need confirmation.
Highlights about the product
- Speed settings: Two
- Included battery count: Seller’s selected offer: one; manufacturer GB kit correspondence unresolved
- Named included blade: Seller lists #10 A5, 1.5 mm; manufacturer GB kit correspondence unresolved

Artero Hit M347: one setting, two batteries
Listed price: USD 326.32 for M347 A5 kit, two batteries. Artero US
What we like about it: Two batteries with one speed setting is an appealingly straightforward arrangement. Artero includes the spare rather than selling it only as an extra.
Highlights about the product
- Speed settings: One
- Included battery count: Two
- Named included blade: #10 A5-type

Aesculap Durati GT434-WS: the exact battery package matters
Listed price: USD 263.99 for GT434-WS, selected 1 Battery offer. Hemp’s Clippers & Supply
What we like about it: The charging station has a place for the clipper and a separate battery. We like that small piece of organization around a grooming table, with GT434-WS clearly identified as the one-battery kit.
Highlights about the product
- Runtime, maker account: Conflicting page values; unresolved
- Speed settings: One listed speed
- Included battery count: One

Do more strokes per minute prove a better clipper finish?
A fast-moving blade is only one part of the grooming result. To compare the finished coat, blade heat and handling, the clippers would need to be tested on comparable coats using the same type of blade and task.
A clipper’s rating belongs to the mechanism being measured. Motor rotations and blade strokes are not automatically equivalent units, and neither is a direct measure of how a particular coat will finish.
A meaningful trial would identify blade size and condition, coat preparation, task, temperature over time and animal response. Battery runtime would be measured under that workload rather than treated as a universal result.
In practice, compare the complete kits. Wahl and Artero explicitly include two batteries. Andis makes removable power and five settings central but lists replacement batteries separately. Heiniger describes its charging interval, while the exact Opal package still needs confirmation. Durati names one- and two-battery kit references.

Five clippers, with the kit kept in view
The figures below retain their named manufacturer or seller ownership. The different speed units are preserved and do not form a direct performance ranking. “Unverified” means unresolved in this reporting.
How to read the comparison: Unless a study or institutional finding is identified, product descriptions come from the named manufacturers’ records. A listed feature does not establish a health, safety or performance benefit. An unresolved entry means we could not verify the information, not that the product lacks it.

The listings retain their currencies. Smart Grooming marks the GB Opal offer as tax included; delivery charges are separate. Tax and shipping treatment for the other offers depends on their sellers. GB and French-market records describe particular products, not interchangeable US kit contents or warranty terms.

What We Still Want To Know
We still need a verified Andis runtime, clarification of which parts come in the selected Opal kit, and a resolution of the conflicting Durati runtimes. A useful performance comparison would test the same coat task, blade, heat buildup and animal response across all five.
What we learned
A spare battery lets you change power sources; multiple speed settings let you adjust the controls. Those are different features, and neither tells you how comfortable the dog will be or how well the clipper will finish their coat.
Look at the finished coat, the dog’s comfort and the work needed between clipping sessions. The battery, blade and charger are part of that routine, not just extras around a motor specification.
Questions for the Pack
For professional groomers: Which kit detail most affects your workflow, and what comparable runtime or blade-temperature information do you wish manufacturers supplied?

The current Andis 79170 replaces the historical Wild portrait; the two are not merged. The current Andis page lacks a verified publication date. Andis’s 2024 Animal Products catalog documents item 79170, its speed range and kit, while runtime is not established in the eligible dated record. Kerbl’s 2025 catalog dates the exact GT434-WS specification record; the current French page’s runtime conflict remains unresolved. Heiniger’s Opal page records September 12, 2024 as its publication date in page metadata, checked October 7, 2026; that date does not resolve its kit-content gap. No hands-on coat, sound, thermal or animal-response test was performed.
